Simple Bytes has two sides. We create free tools that solve practical problems, and we build, acquire, and invest in focused software companies for the long term.
Our tools and investments span domains, SEO, publishing, icons, cooking, health, and productivity — wherever we see a clear problem and a way to solve it simply.
How we work
We keep things small and focused. No venture funding, no growth-at-all-costs. We build products we want to use ourselves, support the companies we believe in, and keep improving both over time. If a tool can be free, it is. If a product earns revenue, that helps fund the next tool or investment.
We run everything ourselves — design, engineering, operations. That means we can move fast and make decisions based on what's right for the product, not what a board wants to hear.
What we believe
- Useful first. Every product starts with a real problem. If we wouldn't use it ourselves, we don't build it.
- Simple by default. Fewer features, done well. Complexity is easy — simplicity takes work.
- Respect people's time. No dark patterns, no unnecessary sign-ups, no friction for friction's sake.
- Independent. Self-funded, self-directed. We make long-term decisions without outside venture pressure.
